Dr Bernd Eggen is a Senior Environmental Public Health Scientist in the Environmental Epidemiology team of UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), based at the Centre for Radiation, Chemical, Climate & Environmental Hazards (RCCE). His main work focuses on weather & climate effects on health and on the development of the Environmental Public Health Surveillance System (EPHSS).
Dr Eggen has worked on a variety of climate change adaptation and climate service projects, including on several Copernicus C3S contracts while employed at UKHSA and the Met Office. His current interests are climate change impacts on human health, climate change adaptation, use of EO data for health applications and risk communication.
