Professor Dann Mitchell is head of the Bristol Climate Group and is leading the UK Government Climate Change Risk Assessment on human health. He pioneered a new field of climate science, which allows us to formally detect the human health toll of past and current climate change. He is director of the Wellcome Trust funded international consortium on integrating AI and climate for impacts on society, and has won many prestigious awards in this area, including the Royal Meteorological Society’s Adrian Gill award.
